Imagine a World without Flowers

The world as we know it would collapse without pollinators

Matanah Meadows is participating in a Pollinator Conservaton Program by Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation by planting pollinator habitat kits. We will be receiving three habitat kits: Riparian Hedgerow kit, Wildflower Grassland kit and a Hedgerow kit. This program is also made possible by partnering with the Natural Resource Conservation Service. These plants provide a food source for pollinators such as bees, moths and butterflies as well as nesting sites for their young. Many of the plants are specifically for the monarch butterfly to help stabilize their populations. Read more about what the Xerces Society is doing and how you can participate.

These are the pollinator plants that we will be planting. See the Lanscape Plan for our Farm
